To heal our patterns,
we must begin with awareness.

some of our thoughts,
and some of our feelings
are causing us deep unhappiness.
This unhappiness may be experienced
as a slight nagging feeling,
a feeling of discontent or loneliness,
a feeling of emptiness, anger, or
We often find ourselves in addictive behavior
as we try to numb or block
our deepest pain and fears.
When we are unable to cope
with the intensity of our emotions,
we may work obsessively,
develop a dependency on alcohol or drugs,
overeat or undereat until we are sick.
ALL in order to ignore our feelings.
When our behaviors
cause immeasurable pain,
perhaps it is time to choose to heal.
Begin to identify your patterns,
and choose to do the work
necessary to heal.
